The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected all areas of healthcare provision, including endoscopy. Services have been severely disrupted and medical staff have had to change their ways of working, constantly adapting to new guidance and protocols.

The scale of the challenge is therefore significant, so it is now crucial that we focus on resuming endoscopies – in a safe and measured way for both patients and healthcare professionals. At a time when cancer centers are experiencing an estimated 60% reduction in their activity, according the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), we believe transnasal endoscopy can be a used to address the backlog of patients waiting and prevent the potentially devastating impact that this could be having on patient outcomes.
